Over the Water is the title of my new exhibition at Campden Gallery. Reflecting on the link that unites all the images in the selection, I realise that almost all the choices relate to one of the four natural elements, which is water. The sea is present with Calanques and its steep coastline, Le sentier du lac with its inaccessible body of water, La descente colorée 2, this sinuous torrent, La Seine blanche, a majestic river leaving Paris, Quai Parisien, on the activity of the banks of the Seine, Arbres de printemps XI, which lets us guess the movement of the river in the background . . . and even Pichet containing the necessary water!
I remain faithful to what Guy Cohen has said about my work, "Being on the periphery of memory and imagination, Ramzi seeks to express the essence and the atmosphere of a place".
For some years now, with my series on Trees, Flores, or Florals, I have been continuing my work on this transfigured and poetic reality. I integrate with my sensitivity; concerns related to nature and our current need to surround and protect it.
