Mitsuo Shiraishi Japanese

Mitsuo Shiraishi’s work, which is primarily figurative, shifts between dream and reality. Shiraishi’s technical excellence and rich imaginative power, give his work an extraordinary balance, resulting in paintings and engravings of exquisite landscapes and of moving instants of mild poetry.

Mitsuo Shiraishi was born in Tokyo in 1969. When he was 19 he moved to France where he studied at Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts de Lyon and at then at Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts de Mulhouse. 

Shiraishi has exhibited his paintings and prints regularly and widely in France and elsewhere in Europe since 1994 and his work is in public collections in France and Italy. 

He lives and works in Alsace.
