Robbie Fife British

Robbie Fife (b.1988) is a British artist living and working in North Yorkshire. His work spirals around his local rural environment, from the curious activities of its human inhabitants, to the magical happenings of its flora and fauna. Fife's gently surreal images often show a fondness for the peculiar and empathy for eccentricity. Whilst there can be a quiet humour in the work, it also ruminates on the ancient power of the land and our connectedness to it.

Fife completed an MFA in Painting at The Slade School of Fine Art in 2014 and has twice been an artist-in-residence at The Josef and Anni Albers Foundation - Connecticut, USA in Nov/Dec 2015 and Carraig-na-gcat, Ireland in Sept 2019. Selected recent solo exhibitions include Native, Willoughby Gerrish, Gallery 1, Thirsk Hall Sculpture Garden (2023); Locals, Willoughby Gerrish, Jermyn Street, London (2022) and Kist, Oliver Projects at 155a Gallery, East Dulwich, London (2021).
